Mike Walters

Mike Walters, PE, LEED AP, brings a background in energy planning and the design and construction of geothermal systems and central energy plants. In the last decade, Walters guided Cornell University’s standard-setting climate action plan, the transformation of Ford Motor Company’s Dearborn Research and Development Center and energy planning and conceptual design for the RiverLInC district energy system in Long Island City. His project roles include project management, engineering leadership, and comprehensive techno-economic analysis of energy systems and alternatives.

Rob has 25 years of experience in technology commercialization and clean energy development as a strategic planner, business manager and financial engineer.
His project experience includes utility-scale renewable energy and transmission development for National Grid, Chevron Technology Ventures and BHP Billiton as well as campus- and community-scale decarbonization through clean energy deployment for Cornell University, the University of California System, Michigan State University, University of Washington, Ford Motor Company, the City of Raleigh, NC and others.
